The short version
- Your content is yours. Our robot is ours. Be decent to both.
- AI can be confidently wrong — don't bet anything important on an unchecked answer.
- You're responsible for the bots you build and share.
- Paid features bill through Stripe and can be cancelled any time.
- Australian law applies, and none of this touches your consumer rights.
1. Who you're agreeing with
These terms are between you and D-EFFCON Pty Ltd, the Australian private corporation behind My AI Chatbot — "we" and "us" from here on. By creating an account or using My AI Chatbot, you're agreeing to these terms and the privacy policy.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
- You need to be at least 16 to hold your own account. Younger family members can use bots inside your workspace or through shared bot pages, under your supervision — that's what they're for.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone's broken in, tell us straight away.
3. Workspaces and members
A workspace is shared space: members you invite can see and use its bots, chats and dashboards according to their roles. Workspace owners decide who's in and who's out. Don't invite people and then be surprised they can see workspace things — that's what inviting does.
4. Your content
Everything you create — bots, instructions, messages, files, dashboards — stays yours. You give us the limited licence we need to run the service: to host it, back it up, show it to the people you've shared it with, and send chat content to the AI provider you picked so the bot can reply. That's it. We don't sell your content and we don't use it for advertising.
Don't upload content you have no right to share, and don't use My AI Chatbot to store anything illegal.
5. Bots, brains and honesty about AI
Bots generate answers with AI. AI sometimes gets things wrong — fluently, convincingly wrong. By using My AI Chatbot you accept that:
- Bot replies are not professional advice. For medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions, check with a qualified human.
- You're responsible for how you act on a bot's output — and for the instructions you give bots you share with others.
- Each bot's replies are produced by the third-party AI provider you selected for it, subject to that provider's availability.
6. Shared bot pages
If you publish a bot page, anyone with the link can chat with your bot, and their messages count toward your workspace usage. You're the publisher: keep your bot's instructions responsible, use the password lock for private bots, and don't publish bots designed to deceive, harass or harm.
7. Fair play (acceptable use)
Don't use My AI Chatbot to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate people;
- create or share content that exploits or endangers children — this is an instant, no-warnings ban;
- distribute malware, spam, or scraped/automated bulk traffic;
- probe, overload or work around our security, rate limits or usage quotas;
- infringe other people's intellectual property.
We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — with notice where practicable, immediately where necessary.
8. Paid features and billing
- Some features are paid. All payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your card number.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
- One-off purchases (like cosmetic items) are delivered digitally and are generally non-refundable once delivered — except where the law, including the Australian Consumer Law, says otherwise.
- If a payment fails we'll retry and nudge you before anything is restricted.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep My AI Chatbot up, but we're not promising perfection — maintenance happens, providers hiccup, solar flares exist. We may add, change or retire features; if a change materially shrinks something you're paying for, we'll tell you first.
10. Ending things
You can close your account whenever you like — export your data first, then it's deleted per the privacy policy. We can suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever discontinue My AI Chatbot entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to take your data with you.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be contracted out of.
Beyond that: My AI Chatbot is provided "as is", we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits or lost data beyond our control), and our total liability to you is capped at the greater of AUD $100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some of this may not apply to you depending on where you live — your local mandatory rights win.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes belong to the Australian courts. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use My AI Chatbot after that means you accept the update.
